Conference
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Due to the global pandemic (COVID-19), the ICGS 2020 conference will be held in the dates specified (13th-15th November) exclusively online. We look forward to connecting with you all in November!
Research proposals and papers that contribute to the broad body of knowledge in comparative corporate governance will be considered for this conference. Corporate governance is conceptualized broadly to include all efforts by a society to channel corporate power for the well-being of that same society. This includes, but is not limited to boards of directors, ownership, external corporate governance mechanisms, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, stakeholder management, and non-traditional studies and methods. The special theme of this conference is "Corporate Governance and Environmental Sustainability," however, non-thematic submissions are welcome. A special issue of Corporate Governance: An International Review will be offered for submissions related to the antecedents and effects of ownership and governance (Track C). In addition to paper sessions, a distinguished keynote address and cutting edge panels discussions will be offered. The conference opens and closes with receptions on Friday and Sunday nights. An optional gala dinner will be offered at an additional cost to interested attendees on Saturday night. For those who can come early or stay late, there are many local attractions and recreation options as this is a major tourism area on coastal Virginia.
